Scathed

She sprinkles some water on her face
Awakening her eyes to the new day
Wiping her face with a towel
She dries away all the pale.
Latching the door tightly,

She sits down on the floor
Clenching her fingers firmly,
switches on the shower.
The water drenches her from head to toes
Soring open wounds on her skin bleeding torn
Wincing her sobs in the gushes of waters,
She strangulates her voice to be heard any louder.
She dresses up well looking every inch of a beauty
Her jewellery and clothes shimmer in plenty.
Wearing a sly smile and ring, she walks out
Shivering and trembling as name is called
Another day begins with lesser hope and more sufferings!

Cloak

Across this gamut of  words,
I try to see your face
The reflexive muscles  that smile
Hiding the all the wane.

NAPOWRIMO- Deception

It is finally time to decide that it is either you or me
The grey shadows are mere fake shields
That protect us temporarily
The sly game has gone beyond our wit
Challenging temperaments to find its feets
The masks cannot deceive anymore
because our cold eyes have lot more to speak
It is finally time to decide
that it is either you or me
The game is over now
It is the moment to show your true cards and not false teeth!

Irked

I longed for you,
setting aside my life
dreaming about our future together
your words were my solace
accepting everything under the sun
willing to change and adjust to uncertainties
without any  prejudices or complains
I was ready to walk on unknown path
resting my complete faith in you.
But, what a mockery you made
of our so called relation
the one that boasted to the rooftops
about humility and maturity
about being modern and upright
dropped down the mask off his face
when situations decided to take a test
you suddenly changed to easy favoured side
lamenting old orthodox beliefs
scathing me indirectly
and projecting you a scapegoat of events
I know I am no perfect
life has been both good and bad
But, I never lost hope to break the shields
or walk ahead or be ashamed of any shortcomings
Your wrath made me angry, dejected and hurt
that shook my faith in life and its doings
But, I am bold enough and not foolish like you
to walk away midway or breeze past like an dry storm
I am really thankful for that !!!

Pleasantries

Exchanging broad smiles
I greet thousands
Everyday, new faces, new stories,
Formal talks , just end in a while
Many non-respondent
Feeling void, recluse and sorry.
