Book Review-Ballad of Bapu by Santosh Bakaya Ma’am

ballad of bapu book review
Ballad of Bapu

Ballad of Bapu is a game changer book written by Santosh Bakaya Ma’am. I appreciate the intense amount of research done to write this ballad. What makes it unique it ain’t preachy or boasts of any vague promises.

The simplistic yet powerful packed words hits a right chord and offers a closer look the man Mahatma Gandhiji was. Bapuji’s ideology, life experiences, missions etc have been so well narrated in the Ballad that you will feel you are part of every milestone of Indian history.

Bapu as we call him becomes our comforter, guide and teacher who leads us his life teachings through these verses .

Here’s my extended review in poetry form to appreciate the acclaimed book “Ballad of Bapu”

It all began at RS, where poets together meet,
one such honour is interacting with the Maestro Santosh Bakaya
her rhymes and tales woo everyone minds,
I feel lucky to marvel at this talent that is one of a kind.

Even better reverence is reading Ballad of Bapu, her acclaimed book,
a journey of Mahatma all under one roof.
She expresses the chronological ballet with verses each of five,
A history retold unfolded alive.

A man who stood for masses; words speak about,
some moments long are forgotten or unknown, verbs spell out.
A vision that pays ode to the Father of the Nation,
who bought a revolution with Satyagraha and fight against racial discrimination.

I am just wondering
that this mystical poetic saga penned by Santosh Maám is so powerful
and is enriching; charming both old and the youth,
holding everyone’s attention with her ink that soothes,
maybe even The dhoti clad man must be smiling from above,
reaching out for his spectacles to read the book himself now!!!

A easy to read , powerpacked book worth an experience.
