He was walking briskly to reach on time,
Leading swiftly through the speeding cars and bikes.
He could hear his heartbeat thumping loudly,
Admist the chaos and slogans the rioters shouted angrily.
He had to be there for his family,
They needed him the most in this moment of misery.
His clothes were soiled with dust and sweat,
He was shivering with pain as if his legs were cut.
He jumped over the wall to get home early,
Gulping down the guilt to see dead bodies that were murdered brutally.
He was finally home as he quickly banged open the gate,
But THAT MOMENT was destined as his ill fate.
He was hammered down by some guys with a sickle and iron chains,
Bleeding profusely he fell down to see his family lay dead with slit veins
That moment stole away all his hopes and was mercilessly left to die,
That moment was a curse – for no fault of his – that caused the reason for his pyre!!!
